A new online expression of Interest (EOI) portal is expected to be in effect from September this year for Quebec Skilled Worker Program – said the province’s minister.
MIDI, Quebec’s Immigration Ministry said, the new portal named as “Arrima” is now under final user experience tests and will be in effect from September onwards. No exact date is provided yet for when the portal will be online.
The new portal will manage the immigration profiles of the candidates submitted through the new EOI system of the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).

Quebec is the latest Canadian Province to switch to an EOI based Immigration System effective from 2nd August 2018.
The “first-come, first served” approach of the EOI system to accept applications under QSWP is not there now. Now, anyone of age 18 or above can submit their online EOI profile at any time. Quebec can now issue Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for a Quebec Selection Certificate on a regular basis.
According to the new system, Quebec’s Immigration Ministry will issue ITAs in a rapid and continuous way to the skilled workers whose profile responds to the business needs in Quebec.
The new system will reduce and accelerate the processing time of the applications for the selected candidates arriving in Canada, says MIDI.
