Ontario Issued Express Entry Invitations - Akkam Overseas

As per the latest draw held on August 9, Ontario issued 947 new Express Entry Invitations to the Express Entry Candidates with cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score of as low as 350 through its Human Capital Priorities Stream.

The CRS score for this draw ranged from 350 to 439 and Notifications of Interest (NOI) for those who submitted their Express Entry profile between 1st Jan 2018 and 8th Aug 2018 – said Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

Express entry candidates need to have a job offer in Ontario if targeted in this latest draw.

Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream allows the OINP to search the candidates from the express entry pool who meet the specific criteria of the stream. These criteria require the express entry candidates to have a CRS score of 400 or above. But this and the draw held on 26th March 2018 have waived the requirement of proficiency in French language and a job offer.

A job offer is now not among the requirements of the Human Capital Priorities Stream. 6 out of the 8 draws held this year don’t have the requirement of a job offer.

Extra 600 points will be awarded to the express entry candidates towards their CRS score on receiving a provincial nomination for permanent residency from Ontario. This will effectively guarantee the candidates an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent draw from the express entry pool.

Express entry candidates will have 45 calendar days to apply for a provincial nomination certificate from Ontario after the NOI issue.

Ontario’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream Issued 14 Express Entry Invitations

FSSW doesn’t have any minimum CRS score requirement like the Human Capital Priorities Stream has.

Candidates who got the invitation through FSSW on the draw held on August 9 submitted their Express Entry profiles between 1st January and 9th August 2018. 9 FSSW invitation rounds were held as of now issuing NOIs to 277 Express Entry candidates.

Ontario’s Skilled Trade Stream Issued 279 Express Entry Invitations

Ontario has also issued 279 NOIs to the Express Entry candidates through its Skilled Trades Stream in the 2 draws held this summer. This stream is for the Skilled Workers who have a valid express entry profile with eligibility for the Canadian Experience Class and must have a work experience in an eligible skilled trade among the other criteria.

Ontario’s Total Express Entry Invitations

Ontario has issued a total of 3,534 NOIs through its Human Capital Priorities Stream in 2018. Additional 931 NOIs were issued by Ontario through its French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream and 1,006 issued through its Skilled Trades Stream.

The first step to be considered for NOI through any of the above-mentioned streams, you need to find out if you are eligible or not to enter your profile in the Federal Express Entry Pool.
