British Columbia issued a total of 405 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for the provincial nomination to the candidates under Express Entry and Skilled Immigration BC Streams of BCPNP, British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. The invitation round took place on 8th August 2018.
The portion of the candidates applying for the Skilled Immigration Stream Categories under British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program will have their applications processed outside of the Express Entry System.
Candidates will receive an additional 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score if they obtain a successful nomination under BCPNP’s Express Entry BC Categories: Skilled Worker and International Graduate.
Generally, the candidates who are interested to apply under BCPNP must hold a full-time job offer from the Province’s employer. However, candidates applying for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Pilot with job offers in one of the 20 occupations need to have a job offer that lasts for at least 1 year.
The primary goal of BCPNP was to attract and retain the international graduates from the Canadian post-secondary institutions (with the skills as required by the province’s technology sector) and the talented skilled workers. The tech pilot program was launched in 2017 and as per the latest news, this pilot program is extended till June 2019.
Here are the minimum scores required for each category in the draw held on 8th August 2018.
Candidates who are interested in immigrating to Canada through the BCPNP must first create an online profile with BCPNP and must complete all the components of the application form simultaneously and submit it.
On successful assessment, the applicants will receive a score based on work experience, education, and other factors.
